Human Resources Generalist

Employment type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday and weekend availability

Essential Job Functions:

  • Handles in the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions, as well as the administration of policies, procedures, and programs in all countries where CFG operates.
  • Assists in the talent acquisition and recruitment process of the countries assigned.
  • Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation/exit interviews and help organize the hiring process, training & development initiatives.
  • Generates documents such as offer/employment letters, personnel action reports, requisition forms, and disciplinary actions, among others.
  • Provides support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves/benefits and resolves any issues that may arise.
  • Supports in the administration of compensation and benefit plans including but not limited to communication with brokers or insurance companies.
  • Promotes HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Collaborates in the payroll processing by submitting changes and reviewing the payroll preview.
  • Assists in the implementation of human resources policies and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Gathers and analyzes data with useful HR metrics.
  • Supports the annual employee performance reviews.
  • Maintains employee files and records for the countries assigned.
  • Enhances job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensures compliance with labor regulations.
  • Collaborates in HR audits, if required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a human resources role or similar position
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Results and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow - a plus)
